Meet Ria Ruthsatz: St. Louis Filmmaker + Small Business Owner

Have you met Ria? She’s an Emmy award-winning director and our co-founder and CEO.

For the past decade, Ria has produced and directed films for a diverse range of clients, including nationally recognized brands, local businesses, schools, and non-profits. Her journey in filmmaking has been incredibly rewarding, allowing her to explore groundbreaking industries and share untold stories. She loves that her work takes her around the world, but her heart and roots remain firmly planted in St. Louis, Missouri.

Ria reintroduced the 48-Hour Film Project to St. Louis because she believes in celebrating and recognizing the immense talent in our own backyard. She is also extremely proud to have graduated from the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses Program this year. She loves connecting with fellow creatives, business leaders, and other small business advocates who share a passion for storytelling, innovation, and local talent.
