Beginning the holiday season with a celebration of generosity feels right. I love gift-giving, and #GivingTuesday makes it easy to give a gift that can truly impact a life and a community.
The #GivingTuesday movement began back in 2012, in response to the commercialism of Black Friday and Cyber Monday. The concept caught on quickly, with non-profits the world over launching their own campaigns. Last year over $300 million dollars was raised in over 150 countries. That’s a lot of giving, and a lot of good being done.
We’re fortunate to work with many charitable organizations right here in St. Louis, and this November 27th we invite you to join the movement and give locally – and make a difference in our community.
The Camp Rainbow Foundation provides free camping experiences to children undergoing treatment for, and survivors of, cancer and blood-related diseases and disorders. Their recreational and nurturing environment provides campers and their families with space to create positive memories, build self-esteem, make new friends and experience relief from the everyday stresses caused by their illness.
Each year more than 800 campers will participate in one of their seven camp programs. Camp memories are the BEST memories and donations made today until the December 31, 2018 have an even greater impact allowing them to create special memories for even more campers at Camp Rainbow as they will be matched by two generous donors.

The Big Muddy Dance Company is a St. Louis-based repertory dance company which seeks to build a love of dance by providing fun, experiential, and highly entertaining performances. By engaging both emerging and established choreographers, collaborating across the community through senior outreach, and training future performers through their trainee program, they constantly strive to invigorate life through dance.
The organization has developed into three major entities that you can donate to help fund future growth. First, The Big Muddy Dance Company, producing both major productions and community performances; their educational programs, which offers classes to adults as well as a training program for pre-professional dancers; and Senior Embrace, the company’s senior citizen outreach program.
We’re also excited to announce that your support can help The Big Muddy to create a documentary film, produced by us, to show the behind-the-scenes process in creating their stage performance, “Lemp Legends.” Click here to learn more and contribute to their IndieGoGo Campaign.
